Change of seasons

We all crave the comforts of warm food when the weather starts to turn and the nights grow longer, so we have a starter, main and dessert to satisfy your tastebuds while not breaking the budget. PLUS, it all contains seasonal produce.

Starter

When we think of autumn, we think of hot soups straight off the stove and this Butternut Squash Soup does not disappoint. With an added hit of chilli to keep you warm and some crème fraiche for extra silkiness, you could give this recipe from BBC Good Food a try. Bonus: You can also freeze this soup for batch making and eat another day.

Main

For a comforting home made meal, you could try this Beef & Lentil cottage pie with Potato and Cauliflower mash. If you are a vegetarian, you can swap the beef for a meat-free mince.

Dessert

For an easy to follow dessert recipe, we’ve chosen the Apple & Blackberry Crumble which is heartwarming and tasty by itself, but can also be served with either custard, cream or ice cream.
